One of my least favorites is "to die for".    For me nothing is that great!

Have enjoyed the responses.

Over the last couple of months I've noticed most of the QVC hosts have all started saying "to your point".  I think it bothers me more that there is no originality anymore.  It just annoys me, lol...

I dislike "Whoa!" and "Throwing Shade"

I rather like throwing shade, it has an interesting visual.

Great topic @joannecha!

A few already mentioned, a few I didn't see:

Amazing - Usually pronounced "uh-Maaaazzzing."

Awesome - Seeing your baby's face for the first time, finally getting that hard earned college degree, being told that you are now cancer free, these things are awesome, not a deal on a purse or stand mixer.

Baby Talk - So many, but especially "veggies."

Baby Daddy/Baby Momma - Just sounds so ignorant to me. I once told a 19 year old who used baby daddy that I grew up using a different description: husbands.

Cougar - Often used to describe any woman in her 40's, 50's, 60's or older who is attractive and takes pride in her appearance as if she is desperately trying to snare a much younger man.

I don't/didn't mean to cut you off, but - Really? You just did.

Gangsta and/or Pimp - If people really understood just how loathesome those criminals were, they wouldn't use either word.

Source/Sourced - Used instead of saying "I found a bakery that sells delicious croissants" people say they "sourced" the item.

Super Cute  - Often said in a cutsey, little girl voice.

Whatever - Agree that its usage connotes disrespect.

Working Mom - Any woman who has the 24/7 full-time responsibility of caring for her child/children, the home, her husband if she has one, and everything else is ALSO A WORKING MOM! Anyone who thinks otherwise either never did it or is doing it wrong. So very disrespectful.

Anyone from my generation (Baby Boomer), or older, who uses a lot of slang or phrases normally spoken by teenagers or those in their twenties, perhaps trying to appear younger or hip but achieving neither.

The End (for now at least) LOL!

@luv-the-Q

I agree, and here's another one: (this happends often)

My mom and I were having a coffee at a cafe.  Two other women wanted to sit at the other side of the table (it was a big table).

We said, sure, and moved over a little more to give them more room, and one says "You're fine!"

Really, we're fine?   Well, thanks for telling us.  I just find it odd and also condescending.  Glad that you approve of us.  Smiley Happy

The words "literally" and "reiterate."

I think "literally" is way overused.

I think "reiterate" is used by people when they want to sound "smart."

Re: What "popular" phrases drive you nuts?

Anyone over the age of 5 who uses the word "yummy" to describe anything.  It makes me cringe.   Why do middle-aged women think they sound cute when they use that word?
