What...no Chia pets this year?

I haven't seen the perpetual Chi pet either in the store or advertised this year.....I can't beleive people actaully bought those things...LOL

I hadn't thought about it, but you're right. I haven't seen any Chia Pet or The Clapper commercials this year. Both of those typically pop-up this time of year.

I've seen their commercials a few times here in the metro-DC area. Haven't looked in the stores. Never bought one.

I bought a chia pet, many many years ago. I don't even remember what kind of animal it was. The pet itself was made of terracotta and it was ridged all over. The premise was, you wet it and will be able to spread the chia seeds over the, for lack of a better word, sculpture and the chia seeds will fall in the ridges and then grow.

Getting those chia seeds into the ridged exterior of the sculpture was a royal PITA. I tossed my chia pet in the garbage out of frustration.

There are times when you must speak, not because you are going to change the opposing side, but because if you do not speak, they have changed you.

I've seen Chia pets advertised a couple times in the last week. Couldn't tell you what the animal was. They grew the grass on its head.

I bought a Chia as a joke present for a close friend one Christmas, many, many years agoI got her the Chia Head, whete the sculpture was of a person's head.

She got a laugh out of it. I don't know if she was able to grow the sprouts on it or not, but it was a fun gift.
