Seeing a new family adopt one of the guinea pigs from the rescue where I volunteer.

Many of these piggies have been rescued from the most horrible conditions you can imagine. Others were purchased during Covid and then just dumped when the kids lost interest.

Seeing them get a new start in life just warms my heart.

@wilma I am a retired teacher and some of my favorite memories are from a summer program that another teacher and I started. The first one was a a pre K program. The kids were shy at first, but by the end of 5 weeks, they were ready to go and confident to enter Kindergarten. Another year we had a program for 5th graders. We studied Egypt. Kids loved it ...especially the history and the ancient art. Another class studied aviation. They built and designed their own airplanes. Every summer we introduced something different. Just thinking back to those days always makes me happy. Years later I have run into some of my students and they always remember the summer programs.

Thank you for your years as a teacher! Sounds like a wonderful summer program. It's always fun & interesting to run into former students and see what they're up to these days.

I'm generally always in a good mood. (I have a great life.)

Primarily - my family, faith and friends.

Another example that makes me "super happy" when one of my knit/crochet projects is finished and looks as good as I imagined it would.

I finished a charity afghan and it looks fantastic. It's sitting here waiting to be blocked and I smile everytime I pass it.
I washed and blocked the black cardigan ... looking forward to cool weather so I can wear it!
