A day with just "my grandchildren", no parents around.

That my DH is medically stable

Watching and playing with my dog

Planting my garden in the spring and then watching everything bloom and seeing my tomatoes and cucumbers grow nice and healthy

Watching the birds fly into my bird houses with things for their nest and then hearing them sing every morning and the babies chirping

Having a cup of coffee with my DH on my deck and listening to the sounds of nature and playing ball with my dog

A  walk on a nice day

So many things: meeting up with a friend, listening to some good tunes, reading, watching a good movie, a good thorough cleaning of my house, playing in the dirt. I worked at a social services agency and, when things would get overwhelming, I'd go out in the lobby and listen to the kids laughing and talking. Also used to have kids living in the neighborhood who would play outside and I'd love to hear their laughter.
