Re: What kind of fireworks watcher are you?

Not a fan at all. Too many questionable fireworks or, really,  explosives, going off around me to feel safe. Some of them have rattled my windows they were so big. Too dangerous and pricey.

None of the above.

There are fireworks displays so often near where I live that I don't bother to watch them anymore. I can see them by stepping out of my door but I don't do that.

Re: What kind of fireworks watcher are you?

@Mellie32 ... We can see the fireworks from our deck. We live at the top of a hill, so we did not need to go to the park to see them. We just oohed and ahhhed occasionally. We don't have a huge fireworks display here compared to some other places we have lived, but it is still always exciting to watch...and there was a nice breeze, so no mosquitos! Smiley Happy

I guess I'm a C.  We are generally on our boat with friends when we watch our city's display so we are all chatting away.

Re: What kind of fireworks watcher are you?

I watched the Jacksonville, FL fireworks on TV and the microphone was located near a bunch of people who could not stop talking.  And it was all female voices.....it was very distracting and made the program less enjoyable.  Why do some people have to keep their mouths flapping??

I think the station received many complaints because toward the end of the program someone at the station figured out how to turn off the audience talking and keep the music and firework sounds.  Much better after that improvement.

Me - I'm B.  I prefer to watch fireworks in a fairly quiet environment.

Tonight we had the unfortunate luck to be right beside a C.  She was talking non-stop AND singing along to God Bless the USA very loudly and off key.  The fireworks display was awesome - one of the best I've seen - but I would've enjoyed it more if we had a different neighbor.

We enjoyed going to watch fireworks with son and family, but I always preferred watching them from backyard if visible or on TV

just can't stand hassle of parking, crowds, etc.

I was one who would say "oh wow" a lot, but kept talking at a minimum.

I just do not like them and wish they were outlawed everywhere. Here where I live several people   lost a hand...and several children were burned and injured.  Sadly alcohol and fireworks go together with a lot of stupidity.

Re: What kind of fireworks watcher are you?

I liked sparklers as a kid, but I dislike fireworks as an adult. I don't watch them in person or on TV. The only exception is I watch them from our balcony when we go to Disney World. I am far enough away that the sound, smell, and smoke don't bother me, but to be honest I don't need to even do that (but it makes for a pretty photo opportunity).

I get annoyed at all the fireworks in my neighborhood. Most kinds are illegal in my state, but people go across the river and buy them and bring them back. Then they set them off in the street every night for several days until they run out. This goes on sometimes until 1 or 2 a.m.

I guess you could say I'm a non-watcher.  I've never liked them and since I've had 2 dogs so fearful that even with tranquilizers they would not even know where they were, I actually hate them.

Me too.  I've tried and tried to watch them but just find them boring.

So, add me to the non-watcher category.
