I drive a 2023 Subaru Crosstrek Limited. I purchased new at the end of 2022. It's a smaller SUV, but handles well. I am also a short person 5'1". I purchased this particular make and model due to it's safety features, and reputation. This is my very first Subaru, and it's reputation is well deserved.
I have to admit when it rains I feel very much in control. It' makes me feel safe. I live in Southern California, and we are about to have a string of rain days. (Atmospheric River or Pineapple Express) as the weather people call it.

Toyota Highlander. I've liked and enjoyed every car I've ever owned, but this one is my favorite.

In the 1960's, it was thought of as 'exotic' to drive anything but a car from an American-owned car manufacturer in my neighborhood. After reading this thread, today I think those driving a car from a company thought of as American-owned is more of a rarity.

I bought my Ford Escape 6 years ago this week and has almost but not quite 28,000 miles on it. The car before was a Ford Escape I bought in 2003 and drove 15 years and traded it in with 65,000 miles on it. Both cars are the same color. I am not to wild in my car buying.

I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee which I love. It's a 2019 and before I retire in a few years we will probably get a newer one but I don't like the newer models. I've been eyeing the Honda CRV's and could see myself having that as hopefully my last vehicle. DH has a decked out Jeep Wrangler which he hardly drives anywhere anymore.

I have a 2018 Acura MDX with SAWD. It only has 21,500 miles on it. It is my retirement car. I have a work vehicle, 2021 Nissan Rouge and I drive that all week at work. I really only drive my Acura on the weekends.
I like both SUV's, the Acura rides nicer but the Rouge has has updated technology, that I like. It is fairly fun to drive.
The Rouge would not be big enough for my regular life because I have 3 parrots who all travel in separate carriers and 2 Shetland Sheepdogs. There is hardly room for me in the Acura.

@Effie54 I have a Nissan Rogue also. Bought it used 10 years ago and hasn't given me one day of trouble, but a new battery. Great car.
