We only buy Lexus used not new with as low miles as we can find.
They last forever with regular maintenance and oil changes every 3,000 - 5,000 miles.

I drive a Honda HRV. It's a small SUV and I like the fact that it's small since I'm only 5'1". Easy for me to get in & out of & to maneuver & park (except for parallel parking which I try to avoid).
I prefer it over a sedan because I'm sitting up just a little bit higher in it which I like.
It's big enough for good storage but I really mostly just go to the supermarket. In the summer we would take DH's Honda CRV to the beach for the day which is a bit larger. This summer though, I think I'll take mine since I'm the one who mostly drives.

I owned a brand new 2013 Toyota Corolla for 9 years and traded it in for a new 2022 Honda CRV EXL. Although I have nothing bad to say about the Toyota Corolla as far as giving me no mechanical problems or issues, I will say that it was not a 'comfortable' riding car in that you could hear outside notices readily and the ride itself was not a smooth riding car.
Now that I own the Honda CRV, I'm quite impressed with it. Actually, I will say it's the best car I've owned and I've owned quite a few (all new, except one that was a demo model) The Honda is very quiet, no outside sounds and the inside is very comfortable and very roomy. The ride is smooth and enjoyable, plus I love being up 'higher' with a bigger windshield for view.

A 10 yr old Ford Escape (small SUV) that I still love and has given me no problems.

I've owned a 2006 Acura TL since 2008, bought it pre-owned with only 12K miles on it. I have loved that car, still do, but it's obviously time to replace it. I've just procrastinated, and have another car also.
But I've loved my Acura...first time I'd had one. It has 150k miles on it. This is longer than I'd usually keep my cars (though I do keep them long), so it's just started to cost me money on some bigger items, but not bad considering how old it is. Also still looks great on the outside and I don't even have a garage. Covid years, supply issues on pre-owned and prices had me hold onto this one longer this time.
I still love the TL, but they stopped making it at least 5 years ago...they do have a TLX now that I believe replaces it.
This time I'm going to look into the RDX as I may want an SUV now.
I've also been lately driving bf's 7 year old Audi Q5, a beautiful SUV, more expensive than the Acuras, even pre-owned, but a very good car. More expensive to upkeep too.
Good luck!

I drive an American made "muscle car" with lots of horsepower, and a 6-speed manual transmission....

Chevy Corvette for me. My third.
Can't beat a powerful engine and a Yankee made product.
