Seems like most car manufacturers are declining in quality. 

I used to buy Toyota, but the road noise is bad and I like quiet.

There's also way too many recalls.  Someone must be making money on recalls.  Some vehicles have too many extras,  it just adds to the price.

@Effie54  I have a Nissan Rogue also. Bought it used 10 years ago and hasn't given me one day of trouble, but a new battery.  Great car.

Believe it or not, I have a 2000 Honda Civic DX. It has approximately 96,000 miles on it. I have done regular maintenance on it through the years. It has wear and tear that would be expected, but is, otherwise, in very good condition. It's kept in the garage and I don't drive it that much anymore. We recently had some work done on it at the Honda dealership and got an offer to buy it from the technician. We thought about selling it and getting a new Honda or Mazda, but the techs at the dealership told us that it was worth keeping it since it's in such good condition. No car payment, low insurance is nice.

I have a 2000 Lincoln Town Car with less than 60,000 miles.  It stays in the garage a lot too.

And I also got an offer to buy it when I got a new battery for it last week.

Since I moved to the northern burbs of Chicago in 1997,  I've owned 2 Subaru Foresters, and LOVED them both.  My last one was 15 years old but needed $7000 in repairs.  NOPE!

I am now driving a BMW X3 and have never experienced a vehicle like this.  The quality and handling are beyond superb.  I raved about mine so much that my husband recently purchased an X6.  HE LOVES his as well.  Great DRIVING MACHINES!!!
