Re: What is your favorite time of day?

Always has been and still is early in the morning, say between 4 and 6.  By late afternoon I am done in with yet another day gone to ***.  Things are much more hopeful and peaceful before anyone else gets up.

Evening, when it is late enough no one will call me and I can finally relax in peace.

I am unable to tell you what part of the day is my favorite ... I love it all.

Most days I wake up at 4am - I love the quite of the morning and watching the rabbits scurring around, hopefully heading home safely.  I look up at the sky to see the stars/planets and moon - or the clouds and the erry site of the light of the moon shining through.  I love the drive on the back roads making my way to my DD's home to take care of my GD - hardly anyone on the roads - more critters scampering about - darting across the road infront of my headlights.  The sun rises in all its glory, revealing the day, once again life gets active.

With the noon day sun brings the heat and a great time for all birds, "beasts" and man to take a siesta.

Dusk is a time for the night creatures to begin their rule - bats, owls, coyotes and the 'skitos', as my GS would call them.  We would sit on the deck - he would be wrapped in a blanket to protect him from the 'skitos' - as we would watch the sinking sun change the colors of the sky and gradually the stars/planets and moon would take command.

Night comes and lights of the houses go out, one by one.  The cries of the coyotes or that of a barking dog, break the silence of the night.  The owl, flying without a noise, searching for a careless rabbit, while the rest of the world slumbers and dreams the night away ... and then dawn comes again.  Yes, I love it allHeart

Re: What is your favorite time of day?

"We" both have [two} favorite times.

In the earlier part of the day, around 9am when we have our coffee and my husband reads from the Holy Bible, then we give each other any news from the day beforehand, then around 8pm when we choose a great movie, have our coffee and dessert together after dinner.

Both of us will usually stay up until 11:30, then say I love you, and off to bed.

  " I cherish each moment we spend time with each other, because someday there will not be _the two of us_ together".

I am a morning person.

We have a widow's walk off our bedroom.  It is perfect for watching the sun rise over the ocean.

@bri20

On old houses, particularly Victorian, it was a small porch-like structure often enclosed with a picket fence, on the upper most floor or roof.  They say women watched for their husbands to return from sea.  Frequently they knew their loved one would never return.

Well, I guess I'm the "odd man out" in this discussion.  What I tell everyone is that I no longer "DO" mornings.  And if I have appointments, I try to make them at 3 pm or later.

@spent2much...I'm there with you! Always been a night person. Late nights are my favorite. That's my quiet time. It's not always easy when you fit in with the rest of world though.
