My decorating is country with antiques and family pictures through out. Our house is homey/comfy not a display case. lol. And then theres the blue room (study with books and music memorabilia IE my favorite room besides our Master bedroom). Yes I give our rooms color names.lol. The blue room, the purple room, the green room, and so on.

Interesting that I ran across this thread. I'm in the throes of getting just the right leather chair for my living room ... just ordered the "perfect one" yesterday; this is the third try and I'm hoping it's the charm.

I call it "Casual Eclectic", LOL, as it encompasses a variety of styles and decor.

But there are accents of green everywhere in my apartment; my favorite color.

I have no idea what my decorating style is called and if there is a name for it. I am a diehard Summer person. Love the long warm sunny days of Summer. I live in Michigan. Our Summers are gorgeous but most of the year its cold and yucky. I have decorated my home like a summer home. My colors are typical cottage colors..white, yellow, turquoise, blues,etc. Its a real challenge to find furniture and accessories living where I do. But I've done a pretty darn good job if I say so myself. Well, we finally decided to make the big move and this summer we'll be putting this house up for sale and will be moving into our actual summer home on our beautiful upper Michigan lake. That house is brand new. Had our old cottage torn down and rebuilt. It's gorgeous and is definitely a beautiful cottage look inside and out. I'll finally be living in my dream!
