Re: What is your decorating style?

I like the way homes look after the have been staged. Very clean and no clutter. Like no one lives there.

Not me . Sterile homes are not for me. All white carpet, white sofas etc.. Don't touch this. You can't eat in this room. Don't put your feet on this. I like homes that have been lived in, not magazine covers. A little clutter ok, not like hoarders.

Re: What is your decorating style?

I've always loved Traditional, but during the Fall/Autumn, I like the Rustic look. I love Traditional draperies/wall coverings. However, I'm thinking of redecorating this Summer in a more Modern/Minimal style. Plain, long higher placed window coverings, maybe a long L-shaped sectional sofa, etc. Just to see how I feel about it! (I can always add Traditional elements if I'm not crazy about it.)

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

I like homes with no clutter either. It can be clutter free and comfortable. My bedroom looks like a hotel room. Lol.

Re: What is your decorating style?

Transitional. I have many items from Ballard & PB, and most of our furniture was custom from EA & Thomasville. I don't like a lot of clutter, but I need one or two more things for the walls, a chair & ottoman for my office, and a lamp for my living room --- but I'm picky!! I'll also eventually get a quilted headboard for one of the guest rooms. Love seeing pics & hearing about others homes. Irish, yours is beautiful!

I like ecletic homes, with old, treasured objects and pictures.

There are a series of books by Mary Randolph Carter, Ralph Lauren's stylist - American Junk, Kitchen Junk, etc. Her books inspire me...but I have no where NEAR the amount of items she has collected!

I am softening up a little as I get older. I never was able to achieve this anyway.{#emotions_dlg.lol}

If it fits ... it sits. If it stores ... give me more!
