I read some years ago that the products with the highest markups were clothing, furniture, cosmetics and jewelry.

Auto dealerships always try to take advantage of female potential customers more so than males. Reason why I plan on taking a male with me when I decide on the vehicle I want.
I will be doing the haggling & my male backup will take over if he thinks I am being taking advantage of.

I think clothing is 50%..........$10 sell for $20 or $22

Since everything (Almost) now days is made over seas and they pay those people cents, I'd say most things are marked up by the entire amount of what they are selling for minus CENTS (Which is pathetic and why I wont pay a fortune for designer this or that!).
