One song that always comes to mind for me is 'I Am a Rock' by Simon and Garfunkel. Don't take every bit of it 100% literally, but it speaks to me a fair amount. Plus, I always loved S & G anyway.

@LindaSal That was our song, too. We had a band of my husband’s classmates and they did an excellent job. Sounded just like the Eric Clapton version. We let them pick the song for our first dance. I used to have long blonde hair so I thought that was special with those lyrics. 🙂

@SoCal BredAlways and Forever (originally by Heatwave). Check them out on youtube to see if you like the original version by them. I like to compare covers. I usually wind up liking both.
