What is on your Turkey Day menu?

[ Edited ]

With less than 2 weeks to go, I thought it would be nice to see what everyone will be serving...

I'm grateful DH will be helping! He's in charge of the smoker and making homemade vanilla bean ice cream...

Our menu:

James Arthur Vineyards 'edelweiss' (a sweet white wine...our fave!)

Smoked turkey breast

Whipped potatos w/gravy

Sausage stuffing

Glazed carrots

Asparagus

...and Authentic Gourmet croissants

Dessert...homemade pecan pie with homemade vanilla bean ice cream

The only thing we know for sure is cornbread dressing and cran salad.  Still trying to find out what the rest of the fam plans on bringiing.  Same thing every year. LOL  We just make up "stuff" and fill in whatever is not spoken for.

We have some leftovers and some not, but it works for our lunchs for the next century. Smiley Happy

@Susan Louise- we're having the Authentic Gourmet croissants also. The mini croissants. We love them.

It's pretty traditional for us.

Turkey, sage dressing, gravy, mashed potatoes, candied yams, green bean casserole, tossed salad (that no one ever eats-maybe I'll scratch that), cranberries, rolls.

Two pies-pumpkin and pecan.

Cold Duck for toasting!

Grilled turkey breast, baked sweet potatoes, fresh green beans, and cornbread.  Diabetes eliminates many of the traditional carbohydrates from our meal.  Pumpkin cobbler with whipped cream for dessert.

We're doing Thanksgiving at our house this year. I don't really feel up to it, but we're doing it. My husband's family will be with us.

Our menu:

Honey Baked Ham

green beans

corn casserole (using a new recipe I found on Facebook)

zucchini casserole (again, a new Facebook recipe)

macaroni and cheese

cole slaw

sliced tomatoes and cucumbers

Authentic Gourmet mini croissants

baked beans

cranberry sauce

cheesecake and pumpkin layered pie

Re: What is on your Turkey Day menu?

It's just DH and me so I'm baking some turkey thighs and having corn casserole, sliced beets, a green vegetable (don't know which one yet), mashed potatoes, gravy and turkey Stovetop dressing. Haven't decided on dessert yet.

@gidgetgh

I wonder if our corn casserole recipes are similar. I make mine with Jiffy corn muffin mix, sour cream, margarine, regular corn and cream style corn.

@Texasmouse- I haven't made this one before but I know it doesn't have corn muffin mix or sour cream.

Hold on....let me go take a look at the recipe.

My fam likes my turkey and dressing that I questioned my step grandmother about for ten years and got it together!  Wheee!  (Not even her daughter can do it!).!

Rice

Gravy

Cranberry sauce (it has to be whole cranberries)

Fresh green beans

Spinach casserole with chedder cheese and tomatoes  (awesome)

Yeast rolls, Real butter

Homemade pumpkin pie with homemade real whipped cream drizzled with homemade kahlua

Coffee

Tea

Wine
