Beyond roast turkey breast and the usual sides, I found a recipe for  pear and dried cherry pie with brown sugar streusel, and I think I have to make it.🍐🍒

@QVCkitty1, that pie sounds delicious.  Please let me know how it is.  I'm a pretty good cook, but baking isn't my thing.  My beloved mother in law, who I loved and adored, made the best pie crust I've ever eaten.  She tried and tried and tried to teach me.  She finally told me I might want to stick with the frozen ones I always use - lol.  I'd do better at learning quantum physics than I'll ever be at making pie crust!

@Its Me LuLuBelle2, My grandma taught me to make pie crust , but she used lard, so mine will never be as good. If I do make the pie, I'll write a review.

I use my grandmothers with lard and butter. I do use lard too.

@Susan Louise - We are going non-traditional as it's just the three of us and my teen son does not like turkey.  I am making dolmades (stuffed grape leaves) with ground lamb and an egg lemon sauce, and a big Greek salad.  Retsina (Greek wine) too!   Maybe some saganaki (flaming cheese) for an appetizer......OPA!!!!!

@MickD please do not tell me you are serving both Retsina and saganaki or be prepared to have another place setting handy because I am on my way . . . YUM!

Oh gosh, I love the meat dolmades.

My son and I are just tired of turkey.  (It will be just us and maybe the 11 yr old granddaughter).  I am making a chicken pot pie with lots of veggies in it, Cool Whip fruit salad and pumpkin pie with whipped topping.  I may slip in a chocolate refrigerator pie too.

That sounds really good.

We used to do turkey enchiladas with the leftovers but I've since moved to turkey pot pie.
