My Take - The beauty items. If you are human, you will age - fact of life. If you were born with a mug, then take it up with your parents or the creator. A jar or a tube of this or that won't help. It's all a bunch of overpriced lies and propaganda.

I care to differ from your opinion on aging. Products do make a difference. Good skin care, sunscreen and the right products with the right percentages of peptides etc, can help keep your skin softer and healthier. We all age, true....how WELL we age is what makes the difference. I do agree hat many skin care lines are priced WAY over what they are worth. I always look at ingredients first. You can get quality skincare at a good price if you shop around.

I agree Gazelle. Very well said!!!!!

Re: What is just not worth it to you?

For me it would have to be most electronics with all the bells and whistles. I seldom use a cell phone and only use the internet when I'm at home. As long as the I can hear and see the TV I'm fine so I do not need enhanced sound or picture.

I will never buy nursery items again. Most did not work out and find I do better at local nurseries.

There was a time I bought a lot from QVC because it was convenient. There were not bazillions of internet sites where I could find the same items. Now I rarely buy from QVC.

I love quality apparel, shoes and accessories. I also love luxury hotels and cars. We worked hard for our money so if we our spending our son's inheritance, oh well.

I so agree with this. Also beauty products--the ones I purchase from the store are great. Also makeup- I must admit I buy cheap makeup and no one knows the difference.

I agree with you on the food, with one exception. The French butter croissants. I bought them as an impulse splurge Christmas 2012 to serve at our family Christmas dinner and we loved them so much that I served them again last Christmas. I sent them to my aunt last Christmas so she could serve them to her family for Christmas and they loved them also. I plan to order them again for this Christmas. But I definitely wouldn't order them year round.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

Re: What is just not worth it to you?

If it doesn't enhance my life on a day-to-day basis, it is probably more than I'm willing to spend.

Does it assist me in some way? Or will I use it a few times and forget it?

If it goes in one end and comes out the other, it's too expensive.

Of all the things that Q sells, what, to you, is just not worth the money it costs

Everything.

Re: What is just not worth it to you?

sports memorabilia--Super bowl, World Series etc jerseys and other junk. I am not a huge sports fan, so I can't imagine spending the money for this stuff.

Expensive v. inexpensive clothing, shoes and handbags is too subjective to criticize others preferences. I don't buy cheap shoes because for the most part they don't fit me. I have a mixture of nice mid-range ($300 and under) and fun, inexpensive handbags. They all have their places in a nice wardrobe.

I've learned my lesson on buying primarily drug store cosmetics. For the most part they don't work for me. I would rather spend $25 for a mascara that I will use to the bottom of the tube then spend $9 three times for products I pitch after a couple of uses because they didn't perform.

I bargain shop and buy on sale when I can. I can't say I would "never" buy a Bose or a food item from QVC because some day I might. If the right product and price came along, who knows. It's not my place to criticize people's choices of purchases.
