@KathyM23 wrote:@Spurt I am watching D&C right now with Jen hosting. She has been doing a really good job at presenting the products and has provided all the info one would need - sizes models are wearing, etc. and doing it in an interesting way. Sales are down everywhere due to inflation, not just at QVC.
The declining sales has been happening for several years now---way way before the pandemic, inflation, ---hence the turnaround in QVC/HSN Executives from Claire Watts, to a former Disney Exeutive and now a former JC Penny Exec---It seemed to coincide when QVC stopped showing unique and different products and began showing the same merchandise we can get cheaper locally OR showing just the same limited number of products over and over and people stopped watching and buying as much. Whats interesting is Qurates other companies---CORNERSTONE their HIGH END expensive and high priced companies did well!!!!---Frontgate, Garnet Hill and Grandin Road revenue actually increased 4%......
Its all outlined in their Financial Reports found on LibertyInteractive.com, they are Qurates parent company. The decline started at 2%, then 5%, then 6%, but now its double digits---1st quarter 2022 12%, and 2nd quarter 2022 16%....they cant continue on this trend....there's all kinds of info and graphs on the presentation Qurate gave stockholders.....
Thank you @Spurt . I was thinking of exactly that report when I was posting the other day about Carolyn's squirrel and D&C. The stats don't lie. Some of this stuff is just not working.
The QVC Brass has put the emphasis to fix the problem on more streaming channels and host involvement with customers on social media, and coming up with new show TITLES...BUT ignoring what customers are saying and what the customers really are looking for on their show presentations, merchandise offered, and shipping/delivery issues....

You sound a bit salty to me. Are you not fit? I am and I understand that with fitness comes plenty of energy. Jen sure has it and I don't mind her having fun with it.
It's sad that a bunch of people find being fit such a turn off. Whatever you do, don't get old and stay unfit.
And learn how to spell GYMNASTICS.

Why I no longer watch. I do believe if they gave them more to sell per hour they would not have time for this.

I could see it if she's selling yoga mats for QVC, otherwise she should save her demonstrations and yoga skills when she's instructing her yoga classes....She needs to focus on her job at hand which is to sell QVC merchandise....The shows should be focused on the products for sale not the host's other skills or hobbies....
What's next -----PERHAPS:
Jane Tracey with her love for needlework with crochet/knitting demonstrations........
Dan Hughes and farm chore demos or restoring classic cars....
Carolyn and how to care for animals---afterall she has dogs, cats, geese, rabbits, parrots

Yeah, @Spurt, I wonder when she's teaching yoga class if she tries to present and sell QVC items. LOL!
And I would like to add on to your last sentence in your post if you don't mind. "The shows should be focused on the products for sale not the host's other skills or hobbies....or egos."

Yet again, I see that I am at odds with the pile on. I enjoy Jen Coffey and her enthusiasm. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I was watching Jen host a show with someone else when they were selling pants. The vendor (I can't remember who it was) ASKED Jen to do some yoga poses to demonstrate this could be done wearing the pants
I like Jen as a host. She has always given information. And she seems kind and humble IRL. ![]()

@Qshopper1991 You sound " kinda salty " yourself. I think the hosts all look pretty fit. Most of them don't demonstrate how fit they are. No one is complaining about her fitness, just that they're looking for product info, not yoga instruction.
Oh and thanks for the advice, I will avoid getting old and unfit.

Wow! I really like Jennifer Coffey as a host. I think she does a very good job at describing and demonstrating...I didn't see the show you were originally talking about, but as a "whole" I enjoy her!!!!! She has a great figure for clothes as well...

Well, maybe the rules have changed and now TPTB decided her bonus will be based on how many comments are made about her on the Q's message boards. lol ![]()
