Re: What is going on with Amazon?

This exact thing happened to me in January. With a password I had for over a decade. I just changed it to a new one. No problems since bit I didn't want to change my password.

Wrong is still wrong just because you benefited from it.

Re: What is going on with Amazon?

@chickenbutt I had the same thing with UPS about a week ago. I'm thinking since some of my packages go through at least 4 hubs it must have been something in one of those areas. Don't know - however, my package arrived when it should have - go figure, lol.

Oh, how funny is that!  Smiley Happy     The message on mine is still 'delayed due to weather or natural disaster'.   Okey dokey.   Smiley Wink

If there has been a natural disaster here in town (only one UPS hub here, as it's a small city), it has eluded me so far.  I was at the store a couple hours ago and nobody mentioned it.  hehe

Re: What is going on with Amazon?

@chickenbutt Thanks for your reply.  I am planning to learn to use apps as soon as I get a chance.

In your reply you mentioned FWIW.  What does that mean?  I am not on twitter, so I have no idea what it means.  Initials totally through me off.   I know what FBI, UPS, FDA, and a few others mean, but most of these initials just are lost on me.

Sorry, Clem.  Smiley Happy  It's an oldie - 'for what it's worth'.

@Moonchilde  I also have prime and do pretty much everything you do.  So, I guess I will stay signed in from now on.  Makes sense.  Thanks for pointing this out to me.

I think it just makes it easier for me - one less thing to have to stop and do ;-)

I just logged into Amazon without issue, FWIW.  Smiley Happy

I've never had it to keep me completely logged in, like so that I can see my orders or other personal stuff.  But I'm totally fine with that.  That only makes sense for security purposes.

I'm having a weird thing today with an order, but it's not Amazon's fault.  It seems to be something with UPS.    It says a parcel that was set to deliver today is delayed due to a weather event.

Ok, that's fine - except that it is HERE at the local UPS hub and there has been no weather event here at all.    Go figure.  No hurry to get it, so I don't care all that much, but I'd really rather that UPS just tell the truth.

@chickenbutt I have kind of stopped relying on UPS's Notifications for anything. I signed up for the free My Choice, not the one you pay a yearly fee for.  Once in a while if something is being sent to me via Surepost I might want to upgrade it for a fee to be delivered a day faster by UPS and skip the USPS hand-off.

I have "upgraded" and seen nothing show up to indicate to me that it went through. I've tried to make sense of conflicting messages received, and called UPS (and ain't that fun, getting a human?) and was told that they couldn't tell me anything more updated than what I could see in my Notifications, because data input either doesn't show in their system at all until a mass midnight computer update, or that it takes up to 24 hrs.  But I could swear it was the former. Anyway - my upgrade request eventually showed up. But I've also had it not go through and couldn't tell. So AFAIC, the whole My Choice thing is a joke.

@Nancy Drew Thanks for letting me know about your changing your password.  I did just that.  I am now signed in and will remain so.

Re: What is going on with Amazon?

@chickenbutt I had never ever heard that before.  You know I have enough trouble with the English language.  Let alone with things like this.

I just changed my password on Amazon and will remain signed in until they kick me out.

Have a great day!
