@151949  Maybe you've answered your own question.  Yes, I'm sure visits would be far more economical but I know you love your little house too.  It's quite a delimma.  My parents cried when they sold their motor home but dad could no longer go to the higher altitudes and was on oxygen.   I guess you just move into a new phase of your lives.

Summer is not the choice for travel for us but DH and grandson are planning a road trip to New Mexico sometime.  Just the two "guys". 

DS is taking a medical leave in June so we will be spending even more time with them.

Summer isn't a standout time anymore so whenever we decide to road trip that's what we do.

We are going to Williamsburg, VA for our 50th wedding anniversary, (4 days) then head to FL to visit friends..we are looking for restaurant recommendations for Williamsburg, besides the Trellis & the taverns..driving a little ways would be ok! Thanks..

Staying out of heat if it is excessive.  I hate really hot weather so I stay in the air conditioning,    Goodness, it is so windy outside right now 5/17 at 7:20 pm that my chair on the deck just moved over half the deck.

@151949,  Pennsylvania is such a beautiful state much more than Florida but you must like hot weather so enjoy.

@Katcat1  Yes, we love the sunshine , daily swims, All the beautiful flowers all year long and palm trees swaying in the breeze. Never being cold, packing or buying take out breakfast and going to eat it at the beach, watching the sun rise & the tide come in or having dinner while watching the sun set over the Gulf of Mexico.

While using chopsticks!! lol! OMG you ladies are killing me. Seriously these (birkenstocks pantyhose and chopsticks) are some of the most contentious threads I have seen. This made me laugh so hard!
