What is Wrong with People?

The protests taking place in California. Chanting "Open our beaches, and stop the quarantine." This took place at Huntington Beach. The governor of each state looks at how many new cases of this virus and how many deaths. You mean to tell me you can't give up 2 months of being quarantine to be safe? Plus there are men carrying their young children. Everyone is next to each other and no masks. How brilliant are these fools?

I'm totally disgusted with these people and I'll just bet they are the same folks who get indignant when some other groups protest. With rights come responsibilities, but all they can talk about is their freedom emphasis on " their "

Then there are people shouting "Give me my life back!" And I'm saying .......Don't you think the 60,000 dead people would like to have their lives back??

I for one, totally agree. I don't get the mind set of some adults that don't get the gravity of the global crisis. I'm also concerned about the children that they're rearing.

I have been out of teaching ten years with most of my career in the same community. Those parents reared young people with very traditional values.

This is so selfish and disgusting. The irony is that ppl are trying to save the lives of these protesters who feel they're being robbed of living.

It's kind of amazing how selfish some people are today.

Years ago, people were asked to sacrifice and go to war across the world (the greatest generation) and people today can't even stay home and sit on their couch, most with huge televisions, wi-fi internet, the ability to have food (and now alcohol) delivered, shop on-line 24 hours a day to have it all delivered, and communicate with friends and family around the world at their disposal.

These selfish, reckless people will make it worse for the rest of us who are following guidelines and staying home. I would rather stay home a few more weeks, than have a second wave and have to stay home even longer. I'm in NY and yesterday on the news they showed protesters not wearing masks or practicing social distancing. One guy they interviewd was boasting that they were outside together and he didn't see anyone dying. Disgusting.

Unfortunately it's not just California. Protests in Seattle, New York City, Michigan, Ohio, Chicago and other areas are getting more frequent and larger demanding an end to stay at home orders and they want to go back to work.

I saw pictures on the Daily Mail of all the protests, protesters with guns in Michigan's state house and also in Ohio's. This is as scary as the virus.
