What is Amazon's free shipping minimum? - Page 2

I hope I didn't cause the minimum order confusion when I posted on another Amazon thread that since my order was over $100 it's shipping free. It would have been free as well had I only hit the minimum, however, my order came to over $100 so I chose free shipping. If that was a point of confusion, I apologize.

@depglass I'm a prime member and I just ordered a shrimp shears for $8.95 with no shipping fee. You just have to check the fine print. If it's Prime, just look to see if there are any restrictions. Should be free. Otherwise, it will say free with minimum order of ____.

Remember that lots of items that ship directly from the vendor and not from amazon come with free shipping, no minumum spend, and no Prime is needed.

Mentioned I ordered yesterday in my other post, and! Amazon delivered about 20 minutes ago. Beat that if you can online retailers! And! No charges other than taxes added to price of under $7.

We watch a lot of shows on Prime, so it's not just the free shipping for us. There's a lot more to the membership than many people take advantage of, IMO.

@Shelbelle You might have to pay for return shipping. Also some vendors have more restrictions regarding returns and how long you have to return the item.

Just in our family we hardly ever buy unless the item is Sold By Amazon and Shipped by Amazon. We have only ordered from a handful of vendors we are familiar with but even then always Shipped by Amazon.

It is a good idea to check out unknown vendors just in case.

@depglass It's important to remember what someone else mentioned: the items have to be coming from Amazon if you want the free shipping with the $25 minimum. Not sent by a 3rd party.

As for all the responses about Prime, she knows Prime and wasn't asking about it.🙄
