If masks were free I think some would get themand wear, but many would still not wear them! I know people that have not worn one at all during all this. I have asthma so I feel scared. One friend has worn one but she is tired of it and tired of staying home and said she is going to start doing what she wants to when she wants to! She has no medical issues.

No, she's talking about a different one. However, that one with the two ER docs was debunked/condemned by the American College of Emergency Physicians and the American Academy of Emergency Medicine.

If people are advised to wear a face covering/mask in stores and they don't wear one would they be shunned in the store or wherever? I don't think I'd get in line behind them.

I think there are a lot of people like your friend. People are sick and tired of staying home. I am too, just not feelinkg like I want to be risky at the moment.

I have a friend who has treated this like a vacation. She has been off work since the beginning, works in a drs office. Everyday, she posts a new adventure on fb, I think she has been playing with fire this whole time, yet she hasn't gotten sick.

@lovescats, where I live, it's mandatory. In fact, now one council person is advocating for it to be mandatory anytime a person leaves his house. I don't thing that will pass muster, though.

I've seen a person not wearing a mask a couple of times. I think they are careless (one guy was very young) or I think they are an EDP (emotionally disturbed person). I give them a wide berth. Everybody does.

I saw a very elderly woman this morning. She was a tiny thing, very wizened and slow walking, hanging on to her cart as much as pushing it. She had a scarf wrapped around her mouth and lower face, but her nose wasn't covered. You didn't have to be a rocket scientist to realize the care she'd taken and she'd done the best she could while still having to breathe. I felt myself tearing up because she just struck me as so brave.

What a nice gesture!

I don't live in a small city, more mid-sized. The two cities, that basically run together, Spokane and Spokane valley, have a population of around 350,000.

It wouldn't be feasible to deliver masks door to door, but, it's nice to read about people helping!
