It seems that most of their programs at night are the crime shows, the sames ones!

Re: What has happened to HLN?

I think it's turned into a network for people who can't pay attention to anything for longer than a minute or two. (A group which may or may not include myself.)

This afternoon it was on when I went in to catch the Roger Goodell conference so I just left it there while listening to it from the kitchen. A bit later I realized that all of the other channels (CNN, ESPN) were showing it in it's entirety and HLN left it somewhere along the way. {#emotions_dlg.confused1}

I'm sad they changed the format from trial coverage and lost Vinnie.

I noticed those crime shows are on a lot of the time now. I don't care for those particular shows. Too bad they changed their format.

I used to watch a lot more...when they repeated shows at night, it was nice because i could watch them later if I was not at home earlier .....the crime shows, forgot the name, are old ones that they continually repeat, not interested.

I miss Vinnie. Don't care for the programming now. I've seen all of the Forensic shows 50 times each I swear ! I watch Jane V. and Nancy G. sometimes (although Nancy gets too snotty).

I've always liked Vinnie. Lately I've seen some of their former anchors on other stations. Or perhaps they cover multiple stations.

I agree about Nancy and Jane. Watch them sometimes. Both can get on my nerves. Jane is too obsessed with animal rights in my opinion and both can get so loud.

Re: What has happened to HLN?

If there is not a big trial to exploit, they are lost. They overstaffed for Arias and Anthony, and then once those cash cows were done, ratings went down. They could no longer support all the legal eagles, and so now it is headline news bits repeated all day and a lot of cheap pre made crime shows at night.

BTW: If anyone watched the Martin MacNeil trial, he was finally sentenced today. 15-life plus 1-15 for another charge, and then another charge (sep trial) sentencing earlier this week another 1-15.
