Close...it was Ding Dong School with Ms. Frances.
I never heard of Ding Dong School and, perhaps, Do Bee resided there as well. But if you google Do Bee and Don't Bee, Romper Room comes up. When I initially posted Romper Room, it was a guess, but I have since looked it up.
You're right! I got my classrooms mixed up☺️ There was a Ding Dong School with Ms. Frances on tv in the 50's and she started out the show by ringing a handbell and singing "I'm your school bell ding dong ding boys and girls all hear me ring. Everytime I ding dong ding, come with me to play and sing"!

It's a long story. I'm an hsn refugee from when they "remodeled" several years ago. I was expelled for saying stuff I plead innocent to and that stuff was really silly stuff!![]()

My user name Kivah - is actually the name of my sweet, amazing lhasa apso. When I got her at 2 months old, she's now almost 8 years old, I gave her the Hebrew name, meaning "to protect and shelter". She's been protecting me and I've been sheltering her ever since.

My younger sister and I used to write music and sing together, and we came up with a silly little song which included "doo-bee-doo" as part of the lyrics. It was one of my sweet father's favorites and always made him smile. He died when I was 17, and he was my heart.
I want to keep his memory alive, and this is one of the small, simple ways I do that. He'll always be with me.
Awww, and I thought it was an old song of Sinatra's! He had that in a song, and at one time they said, he forgot the words so he did the doo-bee-doo-be-do, but I doubt he ever forgot words to his music. @dooBdoo

I grew up with Romper Room, Miss Frances, Engineer Bill and Sheriff John - plus Captain Kangaroo, Howdy Doody and Soupy Sales.
I don't think Engineer Bill and Sheriff John programs were east coast shows, the others you mentioned were.
Me too, I don't know Engineer Bill and Sheriff John either. Good old Miss Frances!!! and then Romper Room. It was still on after my son was born, and he called that show, Romper Stomper! LOL He was a little guy then.

EVERY SINGLE TIME!! LOL I love it!
Hi, @Citrine1! I understand! Some posters have also told me they remember a "Do Bee and Don't Bee" from a children's show. As long as it's a positive reaction, that's a good thing! (Well, as long as you don't get an earworm, that is!)
@dooBdoo ~ you're talking about Ding Dong School with Ms. Frances...I remember watching and her saying "do be a good bee and don't be a bad bee"'or something to that affect.
@AKgirl2....OMG!!! I used to watch Ding Dong School. I don't know why, but I used to call Ms. Frances Ding Dong Bat. LOL. Where I got that from, I have no clue.

The first part is a no-brainer, I live in Texas. The second part is because the mouse has always figured prominently in my relationship with my husband. Ours started out as a long distance relationship. The first greeting card I sent him had a pair of mice hugging each other on the front. Later on (not intentionally continuing with the mouse theme) I sent him a little figurine which was a boy mouse and a girl mouse, each sitting on a chocolate bonbon, kissing. This later became the topper for our wedding cake. The lady who made our cake put a bow tie on the boy mouse and a little chiffon veil on the girl mouse. Anyway, the mouse theme kind of just took hold and he's called me his "mousie" ever since.
ETA I just changed my avatar to the figurine I mentioned, which is now proudly displayed on my husband's dresser. 💜
