2017 has been a challenging year with serious health concerns for most of my entire family.   Every one of my Christmas wishes would be for them, and what they need.

@BirdieGal I’m so sorry that you’re hurting.Are you close to your daughter? Can you speak to her face to face & tell her how you feel? She may not realize that she hurt you.

  A few months ago my son did something that upset me terribly.When he came home I told him how hurt I was.I actually started to cry.He was floored & couldn’t stop apologizing.He had no idea that I would be hurt.He had taken our close relationship for granted.

 Maybe your daughter took your closeness for granted. Rather than letting it stew & creating permanent distance between the two of you,maybe you need to hash it out with her. Young people don’t always realize the consequences of their actions or inactions.

  It worked out well for me.It will for you too.Life is to short. You should attempt to resolve the issue before it’s too late.

I want my mom back. She's fully into dementia now and I miss her so much. But I try to remember to be thankful I had such a great mom for almost all my life.

So sorry to hear that daughter has hurt you like that, I have two girls and I can imagine your pain.  It makes me think that there have been problems between you, for a while.  If I were in your place, I wouldn't say anything at all to her about this.  It would accomplish nothing and it might make the situation worse.  In your heart, you know that you did welll by her and gave her a lovely wedding.
