I clean my prescription lenses with a solution that I buy when I get glasses through my optician. The optician is employed by my ophthalmologist in the office so it is really convenient. I also get a supply of their microfiber cloths and the Crizal cloth to give a final polish to the Crizal lenses.
I keep a bottle of this cleaner in my desk at work with the cloths, and a set at home. I have extra cloths so I can launder them as needed (no fabric softener).
This keeps my three pair of glasses in tip top shape. Yes, I wear trifocal progressive lenses, use a computer Rx for work when I am using the computer, and a pair of Rx polarized sunglasses. The computer glasses really help with eye strain. My doctor explained when your eyes don't need the distance and reading lenses for the task at hand why over strain your eyes? The "mid range" Rx is perfect for the distance of where I am sitting to the computer monitor. Since I've began using them, my overall vision has improved.
Well, that is way more than you probably want to know, but I'm feeling a bit chatty tonight. LOL

About 10 years ago, I bought my glasses in a rather pricey optical store in Beverly Hills -- I had a $250 credit from a raffle. The Optician told me I can use the special cleaner spray, but it's really the same as Windex, and a huge rip off, so save your money, lol.
So I now spritz the lenses with Windex over the sink and dry carefully with paper towels ... works fine.

I was told to use a tiny drop of Dawn and water and clean with my fingers. Rinse with water and dry with a towel. I Then use a microfiber cloth for the finishing touch.

CVS or Zeiss premoistened wipes, or Smitty's glass wax and/or a microfiber or other camera/computer non-scratch cloth.
All premoistened wipes that I've seen use alcohol, and are advertised as non-scrarch and safe for all coatings (Crizal, etc) so it's just which one is handiest for you to buy or your personal preference.
In desperation I might use a soft knit shirt, but never kleenex.

I use lens wipes -- whatever brand I can find at Walmart. Right now I am using Bausch and Lomb Pre-Moistened Lens Cleaning Tissues. They do a great job. I like them because I don't have to get "spray" on other things or get my glasses wet and then have to dry them. I also use lens wipes to clean my cell phone screen, ipad screen, computer screen and TV screen.

DH and I clean our glasses with the little cloths our eye Dr gives along with the little spray bottle of cleaner they give us. (Which I believe is windex because it smells like it). Or sometimes I just use water and the cloth. The cloths are washable and can be used a zillion times.

Dawn dish soap and a cotton face cloth.
Works great.

Use a dry microfiber cloth that's made for glass and TV/computer screens. The microfibers that are made for glass are labeled as such, and have an extremely short nap. I see them in the cleaning aisle.
For stubborn spots just breathing on your lenses provides enough moisture. No need to wet them or use chemicals with a good microfiber.
To prevent picking up any foreign particles that might be gritty and scratch your lenses, use the cloth for your eyewear only.
