Since she's against disposable diapers, I'm assuming this one is cotton. So therefore, I'm also assuming the baby would need plastic pants as well to wear over it - otherwise there definitely would be a danger of urine/feces not only falling down the leg, but also getting on furniture etc.

@Isobel Archer I don't think it is cotton. I think it is a disposable diaper

I don’t see how the Velcro would hold a dirty or wet diaper. They can get heavy.I never had a problem using Pampers or Luvs.

You're right - it says it's disposable. I just watched the video again and she says this diaper cuts the disposable waste in half - and then she goes on about how terrible disposable diapers are for the enviroment and how many years it takes for them to decompose etc. etc.
Interesting.

It also wouldn't be hard for the child to pull it apart.

no way. Do not like it at all
to much of chance for leakage. To much of a chance of the diaper detaching from the stay in place waist band.

If it saves more material from being in a landfill, thumbs up. But I do think the design is weird. By the way, my kids wore cloth diapers. I rinsed them out, soaked them in dreft, and washed them myself. No landfills when you do it that way. People criticized me for using cloth diapers. Oh well, I tried/try to save the environment anyway i can.

I used cloth as well. All anyone ever said to me was they'd never use them. LOL

I used cloth and I had 2 in diapers at the same time. It's really no big deal ,with a washer and a dryer
