Too rustic for me. But I would have gone for something like that back in the 80s.

The house is kind of scizophrenic. Outside looks like it belongs in Cape Cod but there's no ocean around and the interior looks like a ranch house. It's also overloaded with "stuff." Over decorated and confusing.

Well overall it's a keeper. I don't love everything about it. For sure some of the art and furniture isn't for me and all that wood in the kitchen is a bit much, but it's an amazing house and home. I'd definitely take it if someone were offering and then do some decorating and updating.

It is a nice house. That said I think it is to cluttered and too many stairs. At this point for me less is more.

Just too big! Who needs that much REALLY?

One thing I noticed right away is the open multi levels are too open. I can picture the fur kids skidding right off onto the kitchen island from the 2nd floor. Or myself tripping over one of the fur kids and taking a header.
I also found it to be dated and cluttered. The outside terra cotta colored trim is not to my liking. The owners obviously loved it and fixed it up to their own liking. The wall paper is not a good thing.
Of course for a good price I can love anything ![]()

Loved the outside of this house, but too big. HATE the inside! Too rustic for me. And way, way too cluttered! Wallpaper,,,,really? Horrible! Don't care for all the rustic wood inside but I am a cottage girl so there's no cabin look for me...its cottage all the way! ![]()

Outside looks like 99% of the houses at my beach, inside looks like either a lake house or log cabin. Inside and outside don't seem to match. Looks like a house that you would need to see the area surrounding it before you could make a decision om wether or not to buy?
i wouldnt want to have to clean (especially dust) the interior.

@mima wrote:From the outside it looks like they kept adding additions onto a smaller original house. From the inside the only thing I kept noticing was that those large beams made the ceilings look really low and claustiphobic. It would be impressive to show, but not to live in.
I thought the inside looked like 3 houses sewn together -- too many different finishes/styles there was no continuity of woodwork/flooring/design.
