Re: What do you think happened to the missing plane?

I've been wondering about why not a single passenger has gotten a cell call or text out, even in the very beginning of the flight. I wonder if cell phones were collected {#emotions_dlg.sad} as soon as the flight was ready for take-off. Also, wouldn't a caller to any of these passengers' phones continue to hear it "ringing" while waiting for the passenger to pick up? as long as the account was still active? Whether or not the passenger's phone was underwater? I don't know.

ShowMe, i've thought many of the same things you've talked about.

Whatever the current speculation, i'll remain ever the optimist, hoping for the best.

Some people get their news from Fox, NBC, CBS, CNN, TMZ, various newspapers and Internet sources. This thread is not about that. It's a question about what YOU think happened to the missing plane.

......loves.....I have already said I think it was hijacked....... Then all the talk about the news channels kind of took over. Sorry about that.....

You cannot receive phone calls or texts when you are so far away from cell towers.

I have wondered that very same thing......if it was hijacked, maybe they did collect all the phones before the passengers knew what was happening. That is pretty darn scary. As to the rest of your questions regarding the cell phones, I don't have an answer.

Just can't imagine the frustration the loved ones of those waiting for word are having. It must be horrible.

I agree. I just can't figure what the over all goal or objective was other than to steal a plane.
