What do you stock up on before a storm? - Page 3

When we have a bad storm, we can be w/o power for up to 3 weeks. That has happened twice in the last 20 or so years. Fortunately, we have a generator and a fully stocked freezer, so the only thing I would worry about, is water. Every couple of months,we have a power outtage which can last for hours. Nothing to worry about so far. ${#emotions_dlg.thumbup1}$

We rarely lose power or have snow. Always good to have water, batteries, matches, candles, and snack foods.

I keep a stocked pantry but I will fill the car with gas and get extra milk and bread when I hear the first reports.

I won't wait until the day before or the day of.

I fill the car and gas can. I pretty much stay stocked up. I may run into the store and get a few produce or dairy items.

my mom always said as long as we have cheese and bread in the house....we have food to live on.....so I make sure I have those two...and I include peanut butter...

If current predictions for this storm are accurate it will be at least a week before I can get out of my driveway so I will get extra water in case the power goes out, extra pet foods and cat litter and I'll get a gallon milk and a loaf of bread since I've only about half of each left. That is about all I really need at this time.
