Re: What do you stock up on before a storm?

I brew coffee and put it in the thermos in case we lose power overnight. That way at least we have a cup of coffee in the morning!! Got to have THAT!!

Bread and tuna fish! things that don't need to be refrigerated are best.

Re: What do you stock up on before a storm?

Storm or no, I have a freezer in the garage with whatever meat I can get on sale. Right now that includes about 20 lbs of various steaks, a ham, some pork chops. I keep a three-four day supply of food that doesn't require refrigeration, primarily pasta and canned sauces, tuna, rice and beans, and peanut butter.

For a storm (and we're expecting up to 12 inches tomorrow) I stock up on bread, coffee and milk, and not much else.

What do you stock up on before a storm?

Skim milk and natural peanut butter. Man/Woman can survive for months on this alone.

Re: What do you stock up on before a storm?

Not much as I try to keep the basics stocked up on a daily basis regardless of any situation coming my way. Milk, cereal, bread, sandwich meat, mayo, paper products, bottled water, half & half, cream, shampoo, conditioner...and so on.

I also make sure that when there's advance notice like this that I get all of the dishes and clothes washed before the power could possibly go out. Then if it does go poof, the rule of the house is to hit the shower before the water heater goes cold.

“We know that wearing a mask outside health care facilities offers little, if any, protection from infection.

nothing really. We get storms often, so it's not a big deal around here.

Firewood. Our house is all electric and we're often the first to lose power and the last to get it back. I can go hungry if I must but at least I'd like to be warm.
