Re: What do you like most/least about the laundromat?

Me too, washing all freakin' day or a couple of loads a day is a hassle for me. I like doing it all at once and I read there too, sometimes good books, sometimes junk like tabloids.

I used to love getting everything washed at the same time. Plus I got some reading done.

Re: What do you like most/least about the laundromat?

We had iron water in our well, so all of our whites were taken to the laundrymat for many years, until public water was made available to us. I always tried to get to the laundrymat before 8 a.m., in order get HOT water. There was always an attendant present, so it was generally a pretty clean, and safe place; the attendant was often seen wiping out the washers with a bleach solution between customers. I brought my clothes home to dry in my dryer, or hang on the clothesline in the summer, so the cost for me was only for the washers. I know I paid for several washers during the time I had to use the laundrymat, and was very happy when we were were able to gain access to public water.
