Re: What do you eat if you hate turkey on Thanksgiving

I don't "hate" turkey......but I don't eat much meat, either........so I'm having stuffed portobello mushrooms.    Kitty will get a nice hamburger!

Everyone in our family loves turkey, it wouldn't be a Thanksgiving meal without it!!!

My family loves turkey, and we eat it often throughout the year.  The Thanksgiving difference is that I make homemade cornbread dressing, which is the favorite part of everyone's meal along with the gravy.   I am only cooking turkey breast, dressing, gravy, cranberry sauce and pecan pie.

do you all like your turkey or chicken on thanksgiving?

I just happen to love poultry. I eat turkey all year round. My DH likes turkey, too, so we eat it on Thanksgiving.

However, I do understand if someone doesn't care for it, or if someone happens to be a vegetarian. I can appreciate that.

If I had a guest for Thanksgiving that didn't like turkey or was a vegetarian, I would make sure that I had some items on my dinner menu that they could eat.

I also think that people should eat whatever they want on Thanksgiving, too.

Someone may not be up to cooking a large turkey dinner anymore, so maybe they just want to make something else. I don't see anything wrong with that, either.

I don't go around hating, nor express such an emotion as hate towards eating turkey.

Some dislike turkey, okay, other items can be eaten.  It's all about giving thanks.

I think turkey is kind of tasteless and it often gets over cooked which just makes it worse.  One good turkey sandwich is all I want.  I have a friend who is serving prime rib because her family prefers it.

Ya never had my turkey!  Smiley Happy  It's very flavorful.

I love turkey but I figure that if I, or somebody else I was feeding, didn't like turkey then I'd make whatever IS liked.  Easy peasy.

I love turkey but have gone to a Thanksgiving gathering where we had a seafood feast that was really amazing! It's all about the family, friends and fun anyway! The food is just a great adjunct!

So have I. The entrees were king crab legs with melted butter, shrimp scampi, baked salmon, and halibut in a piccata sauce. Appetizers were baked clams, raw clams, raw oysters, shrimp cocktail, smoked salmon and smoked albacore. The meal was DELICIOUS!

I don't care for turkey either because. Of the size of my family we always have meats as well a standing rib roast, and chicken but I mostly just eat the side dishes bring on the Mac and cheese!
