This is what I do. I take mine to Office Depot or Office Max, I forget which one. They charge by the pound. I had my own shredder, but I filled it so fast and the top was so heavy to remove in order to get the paper out, I gave it to my DS son to use.

I burn them along with anything else with personal info

I shred a lot of stuff, but sometimes I just put it in the bag with the used cat litter.

ETA...I posted before I read all the responses. I had no idea anyone else would put dirty cat litter to such good use! Great minds...

How funny..I was just going to say I do what sugarftmom does...if someone wants to sift through this stinky stuff and try to piece together what I mix in there....I say go ahead and give it a shot!

I shred one or two labels and then go with other papers a few times. If I get a bit of a clog, it's not difficult to clean.

Fed Ex will shred for something like 70 cents per pound. Given what it costs to drive a single mile, a home shredder is a better idea.
