Spent with family. Start the day with the grandkids now looking for the eggs that the Easter Bunny hid for them! Oh how that Easter Bunny loves to play with those pretty eggs the kids colored for him!(Naughty kitty cats like to look for em too Smiley Happy ) We then pick a little on cookies & pastries, the hard boiled eggs and whatnot, then its off to church. Walking to the cars, the kids notice the candy that grew after planting the Easter Bunny's magic jelly beans! The kids are also reminded that Jesus rose up to Heaven today. We come back home and start with the antipasti and our rustica(meat pie), then throughout the day we have our soup course, the macaroni course, the main course, the dessert & coffee/espresso course, and finally finish up on course # 7, the fresh fruits & nuts course. Among many of the desserts & traditional Italian desserts, there is always, always, always an Italian cheesecake (made with ricotta Etc, citrus (lemon & orange) with some sort of anise flavor, like anisette or Sambuca), and something springy & lemony.
