I LOVE Justin Timberlake but thought the halftime show was a mess.

I don't like football at all.  I saw part of the half-time show.  I love JT.  I thought he was fabulous.  He's so talented!

Ages 10 thru 85 watched it and no one thought it was great. Huge thumbs down. That said:

1) Great beat

2) Could NOT hear the words. So all anyone heard was music. Was that on purpose or was his tech crew not on the ball? For many, that would have made a big difference.

3) Dance moves were excellent, lots of energy.

Compared to decades of Halftime shows, however....this one stunk.

I thought it was a mess too. He tried way too hard and everything but the kitchen sink was thrown in there . It was a visual overload. The pogo jumping fans on the field has been overdone to death.

With regard to dress, at least it was family friendly and not more undress than dress. He also appeared to appreciate audience instead of concentrating on himself. For that gets A.

The singer performed in two custom-designed Stella

McCartney outfits.One featured a Prince of Wales

check and camouflage splatter-print suit, a shirt adorned

with...elk — and a red bandana tied around his neck. 

JT also casually slipped a black fringe jacket over the

outfit, and he finished off the entire look with a pair of Air

Jordan III JTH, which he created with Nike designer Tinker

Hatfield.

I just assumed he was wearing his own line of ‘Willism Rast’!

Thanks for sharing.  All his clothing sorta tied back to

the album’s title, ‘Man in the Woods’.  Very denim-y.

I expected something with more vigor and livelier from Timberlake.  For my taste there were too many sets and stages for such a short program.  I think all would have been fine if the show had remained on the first stage with Timberlake and the first group of dancers.  It was certainly not one of my favorite Superbowl halftime performances.  In fact, Timberlake's previous performances during Superbowl halftime topped last night's effort. 

The Prince tribute was a predictable but nice inclusion.

My friends and I were watching it together and we all thought he could have done much much better than that!

We are his fans and about same age as him, and we know it was not his best....
