What did I get for Valentines Day time with my family from my grandson to Mother. Than I cooked a red & white dinner from lasagne to cherry pie. I did get a card from my husband.

I got a gift card and some candy but didn't care if I got anything. It's always nice to be thought of though.

Since it is also our anniversary I got dinner out on Thursday - we try to avoid the VD crowds, and a box of my favorite candy. DH was racking his brain to find something to get me and I told him not to because if I want anything I will buy it myself. So he gave me cash - love it. I still have my birthday money from last month so I can out it together to buy myself something very nice as soon as I find something I really want.

I got him a basket for his bike and he is thrilled with it - sometimes it only takes a little thing, given thoughtfully.

We did splurge on expensive steaks for our dinner at home last night and a bottle of nice wine.

My husband has always been great with surprises. Yesterday we went to see the revival of Les Miserable. Loved it.

That's good that you and DH have an understanding. I try to do that with DH at Christmas but it doesn't work.
