My son and I would get to texting too fast and -- oh, the misspellings! Those were just as fun. He is a die-hard 49er fan. So, his Christmas presents from me were mostly gold and red sweats and such.

New for me in 2025...I have a 4 month old baby granddaughter!!

We also helped my dd's family buy a house just under half an hour away from us in the same county. So we see them a lot more and it's exciting watching both the baby grow along with my toddler grandson who will be three in six weeks.

I'm learning how to deal with a brain disease. I'm on 2 meds and am succeeding in living in my home and functioning like a normal adult. Every day is a success and makes me happy.

I am a big football fan. Have been all my life as my father was a big football fan. I get a little sad when the season is over but in the last couple of years I have gotten into watching golf and that starts up shortly after football season ends. Plus this year we have the winter Olympics.

Two things in 2025:

For Lent rather than " give up something ", I decided to listen to the Bible in a Year on my iPad with Fr. Mike Schmitz and a biblical scholar, Jeff Cavins. Decided to finish it by New Year's Day and instead it'll happen by the end of that week !

Glad I did it with these two very knowledgeable folks: interesting historical and cultural frames of reference as well as the integration of Old and New Testaments.

I had started reading the Big Book on my own a few years ago and it was confusing: the timeline approach made so much sense !

The second thing became necessary: DH and I were starting to have difficulty making the split cement staircase to our second floor FL condo. Were in our early 80's and prefer to be proactive: so we found a first floor unit closer to our first one which is now on the market.

This one is laid out differently which causes us to be more creative. The view from the long lanai faces a preserve which is more private and quiet. Starting to pack for our flight now...
