Re: What did you accomplish this week?

I accomplished going through %$#@ getting six needles in my back to get rid of my pain (I get them cold turkey no sedative. Not fun but worth it!). I was out and about all weekend with DH and had a wonderful time doing lots of things w zero pain (for now till they wear off).

Re: What did you accomplish this week?

Not a whole lot other than to make it through another week of work!  Sometimes I am shocked at my lack of true accomplishements!  I don't like to think about it, as it is depressing.  I always have a big list in my mind but somehow those items stay in my mind and don't come to fruition.  It's either I don't feel up to it or I don't have the time --- or both!!!

@AngelPuppy1, I hear you: I don't feel like I can quite catch up for the reasons you gave....

This past week, I did give a lot of thought to organizing the exercise/craft room. That's gotta count for something, right? When I actually do it, I will know where to put stuff because I put thought into it!

@hoosieroriginal, your laundry room sounds absolutely lovely. Good for you. I didn't accomplish very much, maybe this will be a more productive week.

Re: What did you accomplish this week?

I went through a bunch of papers, filing and shredding.  This took hours.  Put out as much recycling as I could find.

Not much. We had record heat in Seattle all week, and my main goal was to stay as cool as possible, even though I don't have air conditioning. That means you don't do a ton of activity and you sleep with a fan blowing on you all night. On top of that our air is very polluted due to the fires coming down from British Columbia. Our skies are hazy because of them. I have asthma, so I tried not be be out in the air unless there was a breeze clearing the air.

@RainCityWoman - we've had fall-like temps here in Indiana the past few days continuing through the week.  I hope your heat-wave isn't headed our direction.  Stay cool!  This cooler weather has been a dream!

I've been to Indianapolis in August. I thought I would die it was so hot. Seattle is best served with mid 70's summer weather. This rise in heat has been happening the past few summers. We have now gone 51 days without any measurable rainfall. The week before last we were in the 90's but were supposed to hit triple digits. The only reason we didn't was the smoke haze from Canada  blocked some of the sun and kept the temps lower. I can't complain, though, since last fall and winter broke records for rainfall and gray days. I'll take the sunshine over that any time. Right now we need some rain, to clear the smoke and bring back good air quality.

What type of shots were they? I have lower back pain and sciatica that affects my sleep and my awake time. I only take aspirin, but am seriously considering possibly some cortisone shots. Is that waht you are getting, or are you getting nerve blocks?
