Playing baseball, football, riding my bike, swinging. Jumping and playing in piles of leaves, climbing trees and playing cowboys and indians.
Can you tell I was a tomboy?

I was just thinking the other day that watching this as a child, the way he analyzed the facts and clues to solve the case is probably why I ended up with a career as a Systems Analyst. I think I must have learned a lot on how to methodically approach finding a resolution to problems.
Never did like cartoons. I thought they were a stupid waste of time, and never found them amusing.
Another CC fan, although I certainly consider those movies a "guilty pleasure" containing so many "isms" that I'd probably let my older kids watch them now ONLY as a cautionary example.
When I was a kid there were SO MANY, FAR TOO MANY of those. I'm glad that ydotage has allowed me to become more enlightened.
In fact though, I have many of the Earl Dare Biggers novels saved on my iPad. They aren't quite as over the li e as the movies are.

@JoyFilled Warrior Fun topic! Hands down, our two week vacations (usually the last 2 weeks of August) with my cousins on the Maine seacoast. Also reading (to include comic books), and biking to the corner store for a little brown bag of penny candy. Being outside playing kickball, kick the can (after dark), board games yup those were simpler, fun times. You got to enjoy being a kid.

Christmas Time was so magical to me as a child....
my parents made Christmas a huge deal....my Dad on Christmas Eve wrote and left out a letter from "Santa" ( I still have one of the letters...) next to cookies and milk for Santa... and carrots for his raindeer....
And, my Dad even made hoof prints out side the front door in the dirt to make me believe the reindeer were outside while Santa ate cookies inside.... of course, there were carrot scattering outside by the hoof prints from the carrots I left for the raindeer.
I fell for it hook line and sinker 😄

Loved to read, ride my bike, roller skate, and ice skating in the winter. When I was a younger girl, I loved playing with my dolls.

Going to my grandmas home, she lived in the country, riding my bike, playing house with kids, very simple things.Speaking of clover ,we would make rings, necklaces out of clover, did not have staying power.

My Uncle had a summer home at Conneaut Lake....north of Pittsburgh. Our family met there each July as a reunion and a chance to see our cousins. My grandfather always took us fishing. My aunt and uncle took us swimming, boating and water skiing. We also went to the park and rode the wooden roller coaster. Scary but fun. We enjoyed walking to the farm stands to buy corn on the cob. I remember paying 50 cents or less for a dozen ears. Lots of good memories and fun...plus... We also ended up with a little kitten that followed us home one day. She was our first pet.
