What could be wrong with Kitty Midnight

His meow is real weak and hoarse sounding. He was rubbing his nose and sneezing a few times this morning and he coughed up mucus (clear in color). It was kind of like when we get sinus drainage and cough it up. I took him to the doctor on Friday and they ran some blood work (no results yet) but according to the doctor he doesn't have an upper respitory infection and no fever. His eating and drinking is normal. Did anyone ever have this problem with their kitty? He is 14 and I'm worried about him.
