Re: What chain store that has gone out of business..,

For me it's a Chain restaurant, Luby's @gellen

I loved it was good food instead of the usual fast food.

I really miss BB&B, I loved that store and never walked out without buying any variety of items. Loved their wall art selection, towels, kitchen storage items, great selection of shower curtains and bathroom accessories. I even bought my first Dyson vacuum there and my first Keurig!

And of course Sears! My very first job was at Sears in lawn & Garden/Toys when I was 16, 55 years ago!!! From car batteries and tires to large appliances to clothing - I miss them.

But I loved Pier One, I shopped there for window display items when I owned the travel agency and for my home. Great dishes and decor . . . what a wonderful store, I think most of our lamps came from them! Even my DH  loved shoping and looking around that store.

Petite Sophisticate. I remember the day I discovered one of their stores and I thought I had died and gone to heaven-a whole store devoted to us shorties!

When I moved from L.A. to Phoenix, luckily Robinson's was STILL here.

But recently, almost the entire Paradise Valley Mall was torn down in favor of "luxury" condominiums.

I NOW don't have ANY decent department store anywhere near where I live.     Double LOSS!    di

in your area do you miss the most? For me it is Bed, Bath and Beyond. It seems like I was always in there for something!

Bed Bath & Beyond is a store I thought would be around for a long time.  There was so much variety of nice brands.

I think one can order online, Overstock bought them.

Not interested in doing that.  I want the BB&B store back in town.

@deepwaterdotter

I still have several green shopping bags from Marshall Field's.

I remember when you could have your purchases gift wrapped.

@Hoovermom  didn't Parisians become Belk?  We have Belk here in Texas, and I that store.  However, I'm afraid for it's future.

I miss Pier 1, BBB, and Linens & Things

@MamaWick :  Yes, Belk's bought them out.....no comparison in merchandise at all.  I go there but it's hard to find anything that I like.
