Still use comet in this house regularly and the shower/tub enclosures are done w SOS and comet and they look like NEW. We have 3 bathrooms, 2 are full baths, 1 is 1/2 bath.

um, if you used SOS steel wool pads to clean your tub in the past, that could be exactly why it wont come clean now- You ahve damages the porcelains finish, and it now "holds on" to the grime....

There was a time you could use any cleaning product on any bath tub. Now there are specific products for different types of coatings and surfaces. I learned this the hard way when I used a product on a Bath Fitters tub that wasn't on the prescribed list. (I completely forgot about that list.)

I use Scrubbing Bubbles and magic erasers too.

They work great on the tub and tile. I also squeegee the tile after showering and when the kids use the bath tub. That really helps keep scum and mildew from forming.

We had our bath tub and surround done by Bath Fitters and the list of do's and don'ts was so long that I decided to just go with baking soda.....

Right, a lot aren't EVEN porcelain anymore but very "scratchable" fiberglass..Would you take an SOS pad to the outside of your fiberglass Corvette? LOL!
