Some excellent choices. I agree about  A Time To Kill.  I was all set for Matthew McConaughey to be my new favorite actor, but nothing after that compared.

I also agree about Shutter Island and Revolutionary Road.

Re: What are your top favorite movies?

All Fred Astaire & Ginger movies - the best

My Blue Heaven with Steve Martin - hilarious

Shirley Valentine - wonderful

Out of Africa - so sad and beautiful

And so many more but I can - and do - watch those mentioned above over and over when I need to relax.

No doubt Pretty Woman! I have to watch it whenever it is on TV. Seen it a hundred times at least.

His closing statement to the jurors was nothing short of excellent writing and so very heartwrenching...a brilliant delivery by McConaughey!

I am thoroughly enjoying this thread as many of my favorites (some I'd almost forgotten) have been mentioned.

We enjoy TCM more than any other TV channel.
