What are your favorite web cams?

[ Edited ]

My favorite web cam right now is in Kenya Africa and it is Ol Donyo Wildlife.  It is run by the Ol Donyo Lodge and is so addictive.  I have seen all kinds of wild life but the lion family is my favorite. They always seem to be there at night but they use a special filter so you can see them at night.  It also lets you go back about 12 hours so you can see the animals that you may have missed.

The lodge has safaris that goes out and you can catch their trucks going by. The camera seems to be operating all the time because it constantly moves around and zooms in on things and animals.  I found out one time it zoomed in on a tortoise  that was drinking out of a pipe that leads into the waterhole.  My husband looked it up and the lodge has to truck in water for their guests so all the wash water gets recycled and any rain is also collected for the water hole for the animals.

You can also watch this on youtube and the sound also works.  Once a female lion gave to the male lion. He wanted something and she was not ready yet.

What are your favorites and why?

Surf Chex......shows many different beach webcams. From NJ down to Georgia I believe.

Also one in New Hampshire (I think) that shows deer eating from feeding stations in the evening.

@nekodaisy

On Patrol Live on REELZ Channel.

Why?  Because it shows Live what those in Law Enforcement put up with on a Shift by Shift basis.

I assume that is your meaning of "Web Cams" since this is Live Footage, not recorded and edited by????

I love Niagara Falls,  When I lived on the East Coast we always went there twice a year.  Both in the Spring and then again in the Fall.

Autumn in particular was always gorgeous.  Like you, I couldn't get enough of seeing the Falls all lit up at night.  I could stand there and stare at it all night long.

I watch the California Condor cam at the San Diego Zoo website.  It is live and there is a ten day old chick on it it right now.

Regarding the Africa cam....if you want to be a citizen scientist, you can help researchers identify animals spotted by trail cams in Kenya!  A site called Zooniverse is where you will find these projects.  Two specific projects to look for on Zooniverse are Wildwatch Kenya and the Prickly Pear Project.  You might enjoy participating!

Greenville zoo giraffe cam

They just recently stopped having a camera on the inside enclosures, just show the outside and we never see interaction with humans sadly.

Right now they are doing some kind of construction on the outside yard and Savannah, Mile's and Autumn's young daughter was recently transferred.

What I don't like about it is their barns seem very plain and also small.

I started watching giraffes when April from the NY? zoo had her baby. A lot of us here were watching as many hours as we could waiting. I think @gidgetgh first introduced us all to watching April.

Animal Adventure Park is more fun to watch and will start cameras again April 11.

Giraffes are just so sweet and soothing to watch. The young ones can be quite rambunctious and silly at times.
