What are you doing the first day of the new year?

for many years i have hosted a big family bash so we would start the new year together as a family. Now I live far away and my niece is continuing the party but I am sad to not be there. my hubby is watching football (fla vs Penn State) and I'm occupying myself with reading and computing. Once in a while i miss being home - today is one of those days.
