Due to my stupidity (car accident) I will be needing to buy a new car. What are some good sites to use to research cars? I'm aware of & have used kbb, edmunds, truedelta,& usnews.rankingsandreviews.
I'm interested in 2006 or 2010 Toyota Camry, 2009 or 2010 Hyundai Elantra, & a 2009 or 2010 Nissan Altima. I've researched everything but the Altima on the sites I listed above but I want to do more extensive research so that I can narrow it down. Thanks in advance for any responses.

We use Edmunds. They have non-biased reviews. If you go to forums you never know who is posting and may be agenda driven. There's Car and Driver and Motor Trend, both of those are good too.

Or old issues of Consumer Reports.

How did you use it before your husband bought it for you? Did you rent one? I have a 2013 Altima as a rental. It's gorgeous but I don't want anything that current since I've always heard that a person should wait 3 years after a new model comes out to make sure all the bugs are worked out.

If you are looking for a used car, I'd go to the source! Go talk to a local mechanic AND ask your insurance agent. Our insurance agent told us the cars to avoid.

That's a great idea,Luv2Decorate. I definitely don't want anything more current than a 2010 or 2011 because hopefully most of the bugs will have been worked out. I just googled "what cars do mechanics hate the most" & the Camry & the Altima are both on the list of cars mechanics hate the most.(because they are rarely in the shop until the mileage on the car is over 100,000) The list was compiled by 2 brothers who are mechanics. The Elantra isn't on their list but it has great reviews on the sites that I used for research. My daughter has a 2001 that she purchased from the original owner. He had all the receipts for work that he'd had done on the car over the years & she said it was all routine maintenance. I can see that cost is going to end up determining which car I ultimately end up choosing.

I used Edmunds as well. They're fair and unbiased.
Also make sure you get a carfax when you find the right vehicle. Many dealers now offer the report free to the customer online.

Wow, that's nice! The dealerships around here don't allow that, I've asked. I was told I'd have to buy the car, drive it for a few days & if I decided I didn't want it, they'd buy it back from me. I said how much would you depreciate it if I returned it? I got no response from the salesperson. I know Hertz has a rent to own program. You can rent the car for 3 days at $50 per day. If you decide you don't want the car, you're out the $150. If you buy the car, the $150 is applied to the purchase price.
