That's another take, she and her customer were finishing up. One thing is certain, she wasn't there at 3am to try on her QVC purchases.

@PhilaLady1 In the eons that have passed and on extremely rare occasions did I ever ride the subway. If they cease operation at 11:59 p.m., do they ever close the entrances to the train platform?
Hi. Some are locked, yes. But as you might know, not every single gate gets locked and if they are, they often can easily be evaded. Everything is so old and it costs more than the city can afford to upgrade it.

Perhaps, "trying on clothes" simply meant she trying on a sweater, or a jacket etc. It does not mean she was disrobed or a s@x worker.

We have come to the place in our society where the crime is less impotant than red herrings such as what the VICTIM was doing and does the CRIMINAL have mental health issues.
A crime was committed. We need more law enforcement in the area. If you had to be in that area, what would you worry about?

Despite where my thoughts led, I don't believe the victim was a prostitute. Primarily because I don't think she would have openly worked on the platform of a subway station where there are multiple cameras and where people can come in at any time.
Also, whatever she was trying on could have come from anywhere. I know people who get their packages at work because they don't want them sitting outside all day.
I hope the rapist is caught soon. There can't be that many bicycle riding men with a NASA sweatshirt around.
Look how many hospitals there are close to the subway station "M".

Person of interest in custody. Hooray!
I heard this in the car. The reporter said "The victim was trying on clothes with her boyfriend," which is a tad different than just trying on clothes. ![]()
ETA 7/21 The POI is age 20, from SW Philadelphia. No previous sexual assault charges, but many theft charges.

Reporter Steve Keeley
Fox 29
"After solid tips from the public, Philly police got a search warrant for a Southwest Philadelphia address and found him inside. He has 4 prior arrests for thefts, but no arrests for rapes or sexual assault until now. To be arraigned on rape and weapons charges for gun he held on victims."

This is why, I wouldn't go near that place without "carrying". This is the mentality people will get more and more if our law enforcement refuses to protect us and prosecute criminals. I never thought I would feel that way but I do now. There was an incident here in Indiana where someone "carrying" saved a lot of lives at a mall because they had what was needed to take down the shooter.

@Zernia Rose wrote:@chrystaltreeWhy would assume that she was a working girl? I thought that many of those who are sex workers use social media and the internet. Thank you for stating that it shouldn't matter that she was possibly a working girl. The criminal acted in the most denumanizing way and should receive two times the maximum punishment,
I am with you here. I don't understand how anybody can assume she was a prostitute
There is no doubt crime happens when the perpatrator sees opportunity. A desolate train station provides the oportunity.
Even if she was buck naked, he has no right to touch her.
The trauma this poor woman had to endure is heartbreaking. The man was also traumatized. Can you imagine being made to watch this heinous act.
Not to mention the Monday morning quarterbacking questioning why he didn’t do anything.

Elisjsha Dicken, 22, of Seymour, has been identified as the person who pulled out a pistol he was carrying under the "Constitutional Carry" law to stop the suspect at the Greenwood Park Mall on Sunday.
"His actions were nothing short of heroic. He engaged the gunman from quite a distance with a handgun. Was very proficient in that, was tactically sound and as he moved to close in on the suspect, he was also motioning for people to exit behind him," Greenwood Police Chief Jim Ison said about Eli's actions.
"Many people would have died last night if not for a responsible armed citizen that took action very quickly within the first two minutes of this shooting."
Police said Eli learned to shoot from his grandfather and that he had no military or police training.
