@PickyPicky3 Without getting graphic, positioning matters. Consider the woman in the middle, the person with her in front staring at her and the perpetrator, and the perp behind the woman pointing the gun at the man as he rapes the woman.

What a great person. He showed courage and action when nearly 400 trained to do so did not (trying an oblique reference here). He should demonstrate to others how to stop a mass killer.

@Zernia Rose    Of course there's nothing funny about rape, but this crime probably had a million people thinking about positioning.

Thankfully this guy was at the right place at the right time. @Zernia Rose  He stopped the gunman in under two minutes. (I heard this on a news report). I don't think it's fair to law enforcement to say he did something they could not do. We have no idea what they they would have done.

They were all blessed he was there and did what he did.

@manny2 I have to disagree with some aspects of your comments.  The young man in Indiana learned to shoot a gun under his grandfather's tutelage.  He had not military or police training but acted in a manner that suggested he did, e.g. direct others behind him to safer areas, sighting assailant, and shooting with uncanny accuracy.  Several of the officers at U, TX had just completed training for neutralizing a mass killler.  They all manner of high power weapons, shields, helmets, bullet proof vests, and so on.  I'd argue their lack of actions was inexplicable. TX state officials released a report after some investigations and came to the conclusion that many actions could have been taken. Bravo again to the young man in Indiana.

Somehow, a few police managed to shoot unarmend people with dozens of bullets but not oe armed suspect? Baffling.

@PickyPicky3 My intent was not to suggest any humor. If you perceive that I was trying to make a joke, I was not and I apologize to all who perceived humor. I simply sought to provide an image of how the crime could have been accomplished.  I imagine that the state's attorneys will have some type of drawing entered as evidence.
