Re: What a "eerie" feeling at mall today...

@PinkyPetunia

@CelticCrafter

Malls will open here in NJ on Monday the 15th.  Stores that will open must have an outside entrance, ie: parking lot access, not just a mall entrance.  Most anchor stores do have that access with multiple entrances other than the mall.  The mall only stores will not open without that access at this time from what I understand.  My nearest mall has 1 anchor, 1 bookstore and 1 home furnishing store and that's it that will qualify to open on Monday.  Strip shopping centers will be fine.

I hope at least your safe🙂

@homedecor1, I would love to answer your question, but as you know, this is a very controversial and political topic. And anyway, you might not like what I would say. :-)

@suzyQ3  I have to say I agree with you. Love to give my point of view, but logical ones are usually not accepted. I know, I have people who think differently than most in my family!

What "society" is accepting looting?

There are "bad apples" everywhere, and thankfully, in the minority.  In my city, the police are investigating and those who damaged and stole property will be caught and held accountable.

The bad police behavior of some shouldn't taint all police, and the bad behavior of a very small percentage of the protesters shouldn't taint all protestors-- or their cause.

This isn't a political issue at all--it is a societal issue, IMO.  And we are always striving to "form a more perfect union."

Makes me sad, who doesn't love a mall.  Love going with my daughters and granddaughters, looking for a bargain having lunch and enjoying the day. Before the shut downs, my daughter and I were driving around to all the small shops here in there the small strip malls, traffic was backed up everywhere people going here and there. We need to go back to having malls ,there was a purpose to them. Plus no matter what the weather you could park your car one time and spend the day shopping your heart out

We just went to yellow last week, so malls are not open. Nor are hair salons. I am not interested in retail therapy for health and financial reasons. I know folks are going into withdrawal, but even our medical facilities feel strange and eerie to me.  I am in no hurry to go out and mingle right now.

Well, I can say that my paws haven't been numb as often lately, so maybe I am too.

I went to the mall and there was a long line of people waiting to get into Victoria's Secret which I found rather odd. There isn't much merchandise and they don't let you try on clothing at most stores.
